The MailCleaner Community is dead?

Postby viniciusferrao » Sun Aug 17, 2014 6:40 pm

Hello guys,

I can't see many discussions or ppls helping each other in the forums. I'm really new to MC and I'm already love the tool, but I'm afraid of the community starting to fade out.

It's really my impression or things aren't doing very well?

Uhm, yes, I think the community is nearly dead. But it was never really active since I am here ;)

I don't know that it's "dead"...It seems to me that there isn't much reason to post when there's already tons of helpful information on the forum. I just switched to mailcleaner about a month ago for filtering of roughly 40 domains (and growing). I found all of the information needed between this forum and google searches to configure everything and have a wonderful spam/content filter. Hence, this being my first post. :)

i would agree with adamizme, but I don't think this forum has ever been massively active since i started using it a few years ago, but i would say the software works extremely well, and to say a name Del answers a lot of questions and is very helpful

I'm on the forum every week to read others posts just in case I have an answer BEFORE del boot his computer. Don't get me wrong: he is very helpful and I don't think creators if MC have much time to spare on the forum.
Thanks del.

Hello every one,

First of all, let me introduce myself a little bit, my name is Julien and I have been hired by the society that commercialize MailCleaner, to develop it. The core team is changing and growing. All our effort are in learning how the product work and in continuing the Great job that has been accomplished until now.

I am absolutely convinced that the community part of the MailCleaner project is vital.
In accordance with the official MailCleaner support webpage we don't provide any support on the community edition. But in the near future some changes will be done and we will try to be more present on this forum. For now time is used to accumulate knowledge and develop new features.

We are really pleased to see this forum alive and I want to give a special thanks to del, who know our product very well and who give many good advice on this forum ! Trust me this forum and the community is not dead.

I wish you all a good day, and enjoy the free version of MailCleaner.

Hi Julien,

welcome and thank you :)

I've seen, you released a new version 2014.10 in CVS. Is it safe to use already? ;)

Best regards,
del

Hi folks,

so Project "mailcleaner" definitly has reached status "i like to die" since i read http://forum.mailcleaner.org/viewtopic.php?p=10179#p10179 ...
Last release of major stable version is 2014, all update repositories are stalled ... Sorry, status is more than "dead" ...

Hello,
Oh so hard to hear, but not completely wrong. So maybe it is time for a revival with new version ? So let's try this and follow releases ;-) (and the new site mailcleaner.org coming really soon).
Regards,
Florian
