this is already mostly supported, because MailScanner can use both of them.

just do that:

Code: Select all

 > echo "USE mc_config | INSERT INTO scanner VALUES('bitdefender', 'BitDefender', 1, 'path_to_installation', 1, '', '');" | /usr/mailcleaner/bin/mc_mysql -m
> /usr/mailcleaner/etc/init.d/mailscanner restart

do the same with kaspersky.

Now i ready install bitdefender and use this code already. I'm not sure it will show Bitdefender in Antivirus page right? Now I'm not found it.

I know this is like 3 years old but can you still add this to MailCleaner Community Edition 2011.9 or not?

Wait for Olivier to chime in as the final word but very little in this part of the database has changed to my knowledge so it should work. I would backup the mc_config database just for good measure.

Old topic but maybe you can help.

I installed bitdefender-scanner, inserted the scanner to table scanner, modified the virus.scanners-file and the wrapper.

If I run "/opt/MailScanner/lib/bitdefender-wrapper /opt/Bitdefender-scanner /tmp" everything works fine.
the bitdefender is enabled in the MailScanner.conf.

But: If I stop clamav viruses are not detected. It seems, that bitdefender isn't working. There is no error in the error.log of the mailscanner.

Any idea?
