Pause Outgoing Mail Queue...

Postby dennisadvani » Wed Jan 10, 2007 11:16 pm

Hey Everyone,

I am about to upgrade our mail server early next week and I was looking to find a way to safely pause MailCleaners' outgoing mail queue so it holds all the mail destined for our mail server until the upgrade is tested and complete.

Would the best way be to simply stop the outgoing service in the status menu?

Thanks,
Dennis.

you will have to stop en the engine and the scheduler processes.

The outgoing process is here to manage the retries but the messages are normally immediatly delivered once they have been processed.
The scheduler takes care of watching stopped processes and restarting them if needed, so if you really want to stop one, you have to be sure to stop it too.

Thanks,
Dennis.
