spamassassin custom rules description behaviour

Postby loni » Thu Dec 01, 2016 2:03 pm

Hello folks,
I've set up some custom rules for spamassassin.
Are located in /usr/mailcleaner/share/spamassassin and they work correctly, but in "rule score" of webinterface does not appear the description but just the name of the rule.
I've also included in /var/lib/spamassassin/3.004000/updates_spamassassin_org.cf but nothing change (all rules are correctly charged).
Using is_spam.sh script the description is ok, but not from web admin interface.

Someone could help me to understand where is my fault?

thanks a lot in advanced

kind regards

Hi.

Can you share the CF file you created in the .../spamassassin folder so I can take a look ?

hi,
thanks a lot for your reply.
Here it is

###
### custom rules
###

header __MYDOMAIN_TO_MYDOMAIN To =~ /[a-z]\@mydomain\.com/i
header __MYDOMAIN_FROM_MYDOMAIN From =~ /[a-z]\@mydomain\.com/i

#
### BAD rules
#

meta MYDOMAIN_EMAIL0_BAD (__MYDOMAIN_TO_MYDOMAIN + __MYDOMAIN_FROM_MYDOMAIN + ( RDNS_NONE || SPF_FAIL || SPF_HELO_FAIL) > 2)
describe MYDOMAIN_EMAIL0_BAD RDNS/SPF failed
score MYDOMAIN_EMAIL0_BAD 8.0

The programmer hidden in me is whispering "try without the /in the describe line"", he is right most of the time.

Thanks a lot to your progammer but the problem still rise up also using a single word as description.
Anyway I've solved using 20_body_tests.cf, I'm sure this is not the smart way for my needs, but this works.

greetings to your programmer ;)

have a nice day
