Ignoring smtp rbl for certain hosts

Postby webhosting » Tue Jul 25, 2017 7:21 am

Hi everyone,
I need to receive a email from a specific address, but the server is listed in SORBS, so mailcleaner is rejecting it before the filtering stage.
I added both the hostname and IP address to:
Configuration, smtp, smtp checks, dont check these hosts.

I have restarted the mta and filter engines.
The emails however are still getting blocked.
What am I doing wrong?

Regards,
Leslie

Hello,
Sad but i advise to disable SORBS now, there is too much false positive, including a lots of gmail servers.

Thanks Florian,
I have done this for now.

Do you know why it was still checking the server, even though it was in the "Dont check these servers" list? I am using the 2017 beta version (Up to date), so not sure if this is a bug, or...?

Leslie

Hello,
Absolutely not, i tried it and it look like it is working.
You could check the file: /var/mailcleaner/spool/tmp/exim/rbl_ignore_hosts.cf
To confirm if hosts you typed are well in this file ?
if they are, this is a strange thing, if they are not, reboot is needed or there is probably a database synchronisation problem: resync_db

Florian
