Re: how to manage whitelists for Shared (Exchange) Mailboxes?

I don't have that option in my mailcleaner :( I have: Interface settings (Préférences d'Interface) Address settings (Préférences d'adresse) Quarantine display (Page de quarantaine) White list (List blanche) That's it :( And the "Address settings" page doesn't have any options like that you...

Re: how to manage whitelists for Shared (Exchange) Mailboxes?

Can you give me a little more guidance on how to add the additional mailbox to the current user's purview? I logged in as a single user via the main mailcleaner page (http://servername.domain.com). I don't see anywhere in the Configuration pages, or any other pages for that matter, where I can assoc...

how to manage whitelists for Shared (Exchange) Mailboxes?

Is there anyway for a user to edit the whitelist for a SHARED MAILBOX (in Exchange 2013) to which he has Full Access to? I'm not really sure how MailCleaner sees Shared Mailboxes... In Exchange I setup a Shared Mailbox such as accounting@somedomain.com and then jon@somedomain.com and sarah@somedomai...

Re: how to train MailCleaner filter from Outlook (with Exchange Server)

is there any hope of a more elegant solution being developed that can integrate directly with the user's behavior in Outlook?

TLS and SHA versions

Using unlocktheinbox.com to test my mail servers.

The report complains that I am using TLS 1.0 on my mailcleaner box and I should be using TLS 1.2 for SSL protocol.

It also similarly complains that I have using SHA-1 instead of SHA-256 for SSL hash.

How can I fix these?

Re: increased user control of spam filter?

ah, yes. I see now that I must, as admin, turn on whitelists globally and then for the specific domain, before the option shows for individual users I have a followup question then, that might require a new post: Is there anyway for a user to edit the whitelist for a SHARED MAILBOX (in Exchange 2013...

how to train MailCleaner filter from Outlook (with Exchange Server)

If I am correct, MailCleaner uses SpamAssassin to filter email. If I am correct again, SpamAssassin can "learn" better which emails are false negatives (permitted spam) and false positives (blocked legitimate email) based on user behavior (in other words what they mark as Junk that was mis...

increased user control of spam filter?

It would be nice if each user (in my case Active Directory users via LDAP) could login to the mailcleaner web interface and have more precise control over how the filter behaves for their own personal emails. for example, if they want to add or remove a specific email, or a specific domain to or fro...

“honor SPF”?

so, this is the thread that turned me on to mailcleaner: http://serverfault.com/questions/723665/what-is-the-correct-solution-for-an-offsite-mail-relay The guy there that recommended this solution to me told me I should make sure I “honor SPF”. What should I configure on mailcleaner specifically to ...

strange stuff in Outgoing spool?

So, I noticed under Monitoring -> Status -> spools -> Outgoing that I have 6 emails seemingly stuck When I click on the spool, the “From” field is empty for all of them, and all the “To” fields seem suspiciously like “not-real” emails. What could be going on here? Where are these emails coming from?...

Recipient Filter does not seem to work in Exchange 2013?

I have setup Mailcleaner community (latest 10.2014) successfully with an Exchange 2013 server. It is actually working right now (successfully blocking spam, mostly). I am using smtp callout and ldap for user authentication. On the SMTP callout page I am always getting the following result for testin...

Re: Exchange 2013 - smtp address verification

I have followed every instruction here and my Exchange Server 2013 is still accepting: Sending to random recipient : Recipient wrongly accepted Screen Shot 2016-05-18 at 4.13.06 PM.png Screen Shot 2016-05-18 at 4.15.45 PM.png Any ideas how I can get Exchange to properly reject emails that do not app...
