Re: 2017.09 - Fresh Install - What next?

Regarding the cvs -q update -dP command. I've found that it is redundant in 2017.09 and replaced by the Updater4MC.sh script.

Brilliant. :)

Are the following commands still required on 2017.09 or is the Updater4MC.sh script all we need to keep MailCleaner 2017 up to date?:

Re: domains.list - no such file or directory

Hi FlorianB I found the below and it works :) Hello, Considering you have only one MailCleaner OR you set the same password on all MailCleaner of your cluster using the wizard: Try this: /usr/mailcleaner/bin/mc_mysql -s mc_config update master set password='THEPASSYOUSET'; update slave set password...

No CVSROOT specified!

Hi all, I'm trying to update a fresh 2017.09 installation using the following commands (same ones I've used inn the past on my 2014.10 server): > aptitude update > aptitude safe-upgrade > cd /usr/mailcleaner > cvs -q update -dP > /etc/init.d/mailcleaner restart On the 2017.09 server, when I run cvs ...

2017.09 - Fresh Install - What next?

Hi all, First of all, I'll mention now that I'm still fairly new to linux. I have been administrating my mailcleaner server for about 3 years now though so have learned a few things. Please forgive me if any of my questions seem basic or inane. I'm looking to replace our single 2014.10 MailCleaner s...

Hi all, I have an issue with some emails with attachments not getting through. I have an SMTP proxy on my firewall that performs spam blocking and AV scanning. This then forwards to our MailCleaner server (which runs as a secondary spam filter and primarily a quarantine server). Some emails from cer...

Re: Exchange 2013 - smtp address verification

On my side, we openened the port for ldap-ssl to our exchange servers and we do LDAP verification instead. Work like a charm. Cool. So am I right in thinking that any email with an invalid address sent to your domain is rejected / dropped by the MailCleaner? Does it query if the address exists on a...

Thanks.

Once these steps have been made, am I right in thinking MailCleaner will reject invalid email addresses?

Re: TLS and SHA versions

I am also looking to offer TLSv1.2 from my MailCleaner. I can't really find a solution in the post linked above.

Does MailCleaner Community Edition support TLSv1.2? If so, how can I configure and/or enable it?

Thanks.

if you really MUST: :( /usr/mailcleaner/etc/edition.def then; /usr/mailcleaner/bin/dump_exim_config.pl line 772 by the sounds of it you want to only display the hostname, so just remove >> ESMTP MailCleaner ('.$edition.' TLSv1.2 - How to enable?

Hi all,

I'd like to enable TLSv1.2 on my MailCleaner. I am running Version 2014.10 with Patch level: 2014120101

I am currently only offering TLSv1 with AES128-SHA cipher.

Any advice on how to configure TLSv1.2 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: TLSv1.2

Has anyone had any luck with this? I am still only offering TLSv1 and would like to change this to TLSv1.2 http://i.imgur.com/t3uFrIh.png To get the Ciphers up to par I had to update the exim_stage1.conf_template with tls_require_ciphers = HIGH:!aNULL:!eNULL:!PSK:!RC4:!MD5:!SSLv2 With that cipher co...

Re: Remove ESMTP MailCleaner (Community Edition 2014.10)

Hi,

Sorry to drag up an old post. I too am looking to hide / remove the 'ESMTP MailCleaner (Community Edition 2014.10)' from my SMTP banner.
I would like to show only: 220 mail.domain.tld

Is anyone able to post instructions on how to do this?

Thanks.
