Re: Installing over the internet

Thank you. I got the /usr/mailcleaner/scripts/installer/installer.pl to run correctly now, but I realize it is only the keyboard, network and password configuration script. The mc-httpd and the other packages are installed, but how do I run it? I found some old(?) scripts here too /usr/mailcleaner/i...

Re: Installing over the internet

Thank you for your answer! I experienced no problems at all in getting the VM on my computer up and running. It was just mounting the hd-file and it started up in no time. The problem was that I wanted to install Maicleaner on an openVZ VPS on the internet with Debian 8 minimal. I understand it is n...

Re: Installing over the internet

For the new 2017-version, what are are the basic principles for installing Mailcleaner on a Debian 8 minimal installation?

I opened a Mailcleaner VHD in VirtualBox in a similar way like above for the 2017-version and it seems it's not as straight forward and I'd be thankful for any advice.

Re: Debian Jessie

I come here every day to check the status of the new version ;) I don't think there are any better alternatives to Mailcleaner but debian 6 is EOL. Mailcleaner has great tracing, sub admins, cluster support, etc.

Re: After IP change System Status shows No Data

The master's IP happens to live along in the master's slave database, too. You also need to change it there. /usr/mailcleaner/bin/mc_mysql -s use mc_config; select hostname, password from master; +---------------+----------+ | hostname | password | +---------------+----------+ | old.ip.8.92 | yourmc...

Re: How to avoid "No programs allowed"

Thank you kmv! I hadn't even requested help before you sent in the answer. =)
This worked great with some mails with Russian encoding having problems appearing with dangerous attachments errors. Problems gone since a week.

Re: Content Protection on .xlsx file (Office 2010)

Maybe this regular update procedure is sufficient, as I haven't noticed this problem in a while.

Code: Select all

cd /usr/mailcleaner
cvs -q update -dP
source lib/updates/update_binaries.sh
stabilizeBinaries

Re: Content Protection on .xlsx file (Office 2010)

Is there any way to get this patch installed on the community version? I tried to search, but I only found a recent post about no updates for mailcleaner community will be released before major update. I have xlsx files jamming.

Re: Not seeing any message traces neither seeing any log fil

Also check that the following folders exist (on all nodes):
/var/mailcleaner/run/mailcleaner/log_search/
/var/mailcleaner/run/mailcleaner/stats_search

The trace results from the log files are stored there.

Re: Reverse DNS lookup doesn't seem to work properly

Thank you. There I also had 192.168.10.99 listed, but still it get the warning in the header. It doesn't seem to affect the delivery, though.

Re: Reverse DNS lookup doesn't seem to work properly

Thank you. Do you mean Configuration => Anti-Spam => Trusted IPs/Network?

I have: 192.168.10.0/24

But I still get: X-MailCleaner-RDNS: invalid reverse DNS for 192.168.10.99

Re: Apache not starting after apt-get update

Thank you! Downloading and installing mc-httpd as described worked on my primary and secondary as well. Both machines fell off the track during the update earlier. Afterwards I re-run the mailcleaner update script and restarted the services to make sure it wouldn't break again. EDIT: And it did brea...
