Re: How to block password protected Word attachment

Hi Florian. It was ALLOW, I've set it to BLOCK and it still got through on my test no1. I then tried to send a .7z on my test no2 that also got through. Now I don't know why, DOCX pass-protected are effectively blocked (X-MailCleaner-SpamCheck: spam, ClamSpam (PUA.SecuriteInfo.com.Encrypted-Microsof...

Re: Report per user

Ruliezz: is his email address have a catchall configured on it ? It may explained mannnnny reports for his mannnnny email address. You also need to know that if MC can't do SMTP callout to verify if the address exists (server unreachable) MC will accept the email. The next report cycle will generat...

How to block password protected Word attachment

Hi guys.

I receive more and more emails with .DOCX WORD document attached and the password in plain text in the email. As you know, it contain links that lead to infected ransomware, or VBS code.

How do you block these on your MailCleaners?

Re: How to generate a BATV Key/DKIM signing for use in Outgoing?

My problem is solved: I remove DKIM signing from MC and I added it in the webmail server that relay through MC. Thanks anyway.

Re: How to generate a BATV Key/DKIM signing for use in Outgoing?

Sorry to wake up this old thread, but I'm having some issue configuring DKIM with my Mailcleaner for outbound. In my MailCleaner I have set it : jdb_2017-03-31_1303.png And in my CPANEL > DNS I've added: jdb_2017-03-31_1307.png But in my MailCleaner tracing it shows INVALID PUBLIC KEY RECORD: Incomi...

Re: Reject wrong SFP (fail result)

The SPF of such domain must include "mx" in their txt value if your MailCkeaner machines are used for inbound and outbound for these domains. This way recipient will see a valid sending server. Note that If you only use MC machines for outbound, the SPF must include "ip:1.2.3.4" ...

Re: how to manage whitelists for Shared (Exchange) Mailboxes?

Hi. I think that you need to login in MC (not int the /admin/ section) for user jon@ for instance. Then you go to setting and you add the additional mailbox accounting@. It will send an email to accounting@ that jon@ will be able to get and click on the link in it to confirm he can access accounting...

Re: Clamspam definitions via sanesecurity

I've resolved BAD SUBSTITUTION by removing SH before my script name. But now I get: root@mailcleaner:~# /sanesecurity/clamav-unofficial-sigs.sh ====================================================================== eXtremeSHOk.com ClamAV Unofficial Signature Updater Version: v4.4.3 (14 May 2015) Cop...

Re: Clamspam definitions via sanesecurity

Thanks Pantangle. I understand that malwarepatrol offer now a "free" mode that won't require me to enter my receipt_code (that I also obtained for free) like before ? In other words: Can I use your malwarepatrol_receipt_code="f1452952545" ? Same question for securiteinfo_authoris...

Re: Exchange 2013 - smtp address verification

On my side, we openened the port for ldap-ssl to our exchange servers and we do LDAP verification instead. Work like a charm. Cool. So am I right in thinking that any email with an invalid address sent to your domain is rejected / dropped by the MailCleaner? Does it query if the address exists on a...
