Re: Using Letsencrypt certificate

I'd be interested in any type of scripting that anyone is using to get letsencrypt working, even in a semi-automatic way, with Mailcleaner.

SMTP Relay with BETA 3.

After being away from mailcleaner (and trying some other solutions), for almost 3 years, I am back... I gotta say that Mailcleaner BETA 3 looks awesome! Good job Olivier (and everyone else that made this possible)!!! Okay, here is the config: - SMTP Checks -- verify sender domain = yes -- force SMTP...

Not sure what changed...

So... here is what I had done... and what the result was during this entire process. - Got 1 mailcleaner system up and running (for months). - Added a 2nd mailcleaner system, as a slave, using the 'slaves.pl' script. During the process, the admin interface generated SOAP errors and could not display...

Adding a system and making it a cluster.

I have a system that I use to scan my e-mail as it comes in... just like everyone else. I'm getting a lot of spam and it seems that the system, a PIII-650, is not liking the load too much (12000+ messages/day) So, I thought I would add a second PIII-650, because I have 8 of them, and split the load....

Cluster failover routine - specific.

In an old post I asked what the routine for a failure would be in a cluster scenario. I was told that you: 1) dump slave database 2) import it in new master 3) set the master host setting in the new master database 4) launch the /usr/mailcleaner/scripts/configuration/slaves.pl on each slave Can you ...

I have seen the same thing...

I have seen that same thing. However, in a cluster the grey list data is not replicated between the two hosts. This is done because of the short lifespan of the data. I have found that slight modification of the timing on the greylist works to fix most of the problems. * Keep in mind that greylistin...

This problem is become more persistent...

The original issue was that a test user was unable to force a message through the system.

Now we are seeing this problem be more and more frequent.

Any thoughts?

It's not in there...

I checked the logs, via the web interface, and searched the Outgoing log for 1HDifk-0001R2-2V and it found nothing. I then searched the entire Outgoing log for 1HDOTa-0003Bf-7H and found nothing. If we track the path of the message, it goes, inbound, from cmsfwd04.mx.net and given an ID of "1HC...

Unable to force a message...

I got an e-mail from my boss saying that he is unable to force an e-mail through the system using the 'force' option in his daily summary. The system tells him that his message has been forced, however, it doesn't go through. I have looked at the message and cannot see why it is being caught (i have...

Lots of log files...

I've noticed that there are a lot of log files in the directory: /var/mailcleaner/log/<dirname> Can these log files be cleared out? If so, do we have to make a change to the database in order to not have the incorrect data show up under the "log" menu item? Please advise. :?:

He is quite right...

I would like to add that Olivier is quite correct. Scalability, of appliances, is either hard or very expensive. So, be careful when you look at anything like that. Even other software "anti-spam/anti-virus gateway" products are expensive and not easily scalable... and, usually, have very ...

OK... but...

If the system knows the service should be restarted, why doesn't it do this auto-magically?

All I can say is...

Well, I have been using MailCleaner, in a test environment (hoping to go live soon) for several months. I have seen some issues with stability in the software, but most of my problems come from hardware issues. I have found that you do need a beefy box to handle the load that MailCleaner can put on ...
