Re: How do I block emails with certain parts from header

These only relate to header rules, you have to specify what section of the header that you are searching inside

here are some options:-

Code: Select all

Subject =~
From =~
ALL =~

Re: How do I block emails with certain parts from header

my bad i think you need to add this to it

Code: Select all

header   HEADER_TAG_UNSUB      ALL =~ /list.unsubscribe/i
describe   HEADER_TAG_UNSUB         Header contains list-unsubscribe:
score      HEADER_TAG_UNSUB         5.0

Re: How do I block emails with certain parts from header

Ah ok, it doesn't like the rule..... the hyphen shouldn't need escaping but hey let do it.

Use the following :-

header HEADER_TAG_UNSUB /list\-unsubscribe/i
describe HEADER_TAG_UNSUB Header contains list-unsubscribe:
score HEADER_TAG_UNSUB 5.0

Re: How do I block emails with certain parts from header

can you try running

Code: Select all

spamassassin -D --lint
and see if your custom rule file is being loaded by spamassassin.

then try running

Code: Select all

/usr/mailcleaner/bin/is_spam.sh
against the message that is coming through

Re: Outgoing relay problems

MailCleaner is not designed to scan outgoing mail for spam, but it does scan for viruses.

People have asked for this setup previously but I don't think they have been successful in setting it up as it would most likely involve completely rewriting how MailCleaner works

Re: New versions

yeah that is the latest iso, you need to install that then upgrade to 2014.10

They are currently working on a new version that will bring the whole software up to date on the latest version of debian.

Re: Reject unauthorized messages from this domain

We enforce SPF and Forward Confirmed Reverse DNS record checks, and inform people on how to correct their misconfigured equipment. On the off chance that are completely unable to fix their issue you can always add to ignore these checks by ip address.

Re: Reject unauthorized messages from this domain

if you turn off the "Reject unauthorized messages from this domain" check, because the SPF check will have the same result of stopping spoofed email except for the ones you specify in the SPF record.

Re: Reject unauthorized messages from this domain

i would go with setting up a SPF record then, you can specify all there servers that can send mail on behalf of your domain. this will also help stop people from spoofing your email address.

Re: Reject unauthorized messages from this domain

try adding the servers into either "Trusted Sources" under the "anti-spam" tab or "Don't check these hosts" under "SMTP" -> "SMTP Checks". *Edit* Or you could just setup a SPF record for the domain, which would be better for you and other people rece...
